Stuff Posted March 3, 2004 Report Share Posted March 3, 2004 I just installed a set of PTRs not too long ago... Where the pipes attach to the cylinder exhaust ports there is a rubber o-ring that fits in a groove in the header flange. I'm not sure but you may be able to get the o-rings at a hardware store...just make sure they can handle high-temps. Where the pipes connect to the silencers I used the aluminum exhaust clamps that Duncan sells. They are just a high-temp rubber hose where the aluminum clamps slide over the rubber hose and seal the pipes together. You can find these at duncanracing.com or any other atv parts supplier... Lepew Posted March 3, 2004 Report Share Posted March 3, 2004 Yes it is true. You just use a high temp silicone sealer and slide the pipe on the cylinder. I prefer the black high temp, it isn't as noticable. I have 1992 paul turners. The newer Paul Turners now have a groove for a stock oring but I still would use high temp silicone with those to.
