brock_fuzzy_69 Posted March 3, 2004 Report Posted March 3, 2004 well somebody can correct me if i am wrong but the air screws should only be effective to 2 turns out on most carbs????????? Quote
sweetshee4312 Posted March 3, 2004 Report Posted March 3, 2004 yor def not rich man, with that k&n u should be lean, run wot and cheak ur plugs, and if ur air screws are that far out, u need to go up to a 27.5, whatr ur altitude, and temp where u live Quote
2004LEBanshee Posted March 3, 2004 Report Posted March 3, 2004 WHen I was stock I was at a local spot and there were 3 400ex's that wanted me to line up with them and race. This was on dirt. One was stock and the other three had pipes and tires. The race was kinda short I was only able to wind out 4th but I stalled the first race and beat all of them the second and third. So I would think you should have no problem unless he was lieing about modds. Quote
ranshee Posted March 3, 2004 Report Posted March 3, 2004 I would think that you would be running lean man. When I had only a k&n with no lid and rest of bike was stock I had to go up to 270 or 280's just to make the bike run anywhere after half throttle. If you put your lid back on it might run better. die_infidel Posted March 3, 2004 Report Posted March 3, 2004 Either something wrong with your shee or that dude with the ex has more mods than he says. You should beable to beat him even with the exhaust on the ex. How are you holeshoting and shifting?? Pipes on a 4 stroke don't give that much more power compared to pipes on a 2 stroke. Quote
brugal Posted March 3, 2004 Report Posted March 3, 2004 Damm that sucks. You must have made his day. Hes probably running around telling everybody that he beat a big bad banshee When you get your bike tuned up and smoke his ass be sure to post. Quote
locogato11283 Posted March 3, 2004 Report Posted March 3, 2004 u got beat by a 400ex??? thats horrible dude. check exriders for the kill story. Quote
banshee tuner Posted March 3, 2004 Report Posted March 3, 2004 Eighther your bike is sick or your not going through the gears right. But from the sound of it your shee is not right cause you should pull away when you hit 6th gear. Quote

But from the sound of it your shee is not right cause you should pull away when you hit 6th gear. Yeah, either your shifting really bad, which it would have to be really really bad, or your bike is not tuned they way it should be, which if your 3 turns out, sounds like your not tuned. Get to work on your main jet, make sure it is nice and strong, then adjust your pilot up some/ Quote
Ultimateduner Posted March 3, 2004 Report Posted March 3, 2004 Where my banshee was stock i smoked piped 400s all the time. You must be doing something wrong. Quote
joshp66 Posted March 3, 2004 Author Report Posted March 3, 2004 yeah i know this makes me look like a crappy rider, but i know how to shift and all good its gotta be the bike, well hopefully i can get her tuned in soon!! Quote
chipdog Posted March 3, 2004 Report Posted March 3, 2004 when i was stock i got smoked by a yfz450 and he was only 16. he was all talking about i beat raptors with pipes banshees with pipes no one can take my yfz450.HAHAHAHAHAHA got my tr6 pipes clamp on k&n filters degree key v force's. after racing him twice he took off in the hills probley blew up his yfz450 and got a banshee. havent seen him since. blk02banshee Posted March 3, 2004 Report Posted March 3, 2004 the dude on the 400 could be a really good rider, which will make him harder to beat no matter what machine he's on. Weight makes a big difference, too, but not quite as much on pavement. A lean or rich condition makes a HUGE difference for a banshee. GET THAT THING TUNED! Then race again . THere's nothing wrong with getting beat, you just keep tuning, modding and racing, till you do beat the guy. THat's what makes drag racing fun. Quote
locogato11283 Posted March 3, 2004 Report Posted March 3, 2004 u sure it was a 400? it could have been a 440 kit and you would have never known it. Quote
