dnhyoung Posted March 2, 2004 Report Posted March 2, 2004 I don't know how come, but I keep breaking exhaust springs on my shee. I have used fmf springs, and a couple of other after market pipe springs, even a couple that had a fancy swivel at one end. I can't figure out what is going on. My brother has his original springs on his, and I have gone through like 5 springs, and in different locations, top left spring then the next time bottom right, i can't figure what is going on. hope some one can help....... yamaha350 Posted March 2, 2004 Report Posted March 2, 2004 i used the fmf springs for about 5 min. because thats all the longer they lasted. they are junk. get the factory springs and use a spring tool. i used to use pliers and it would always bend the hooks. you can get a spring tool from any shop for 10-15 bucks. and if they are to loose you can bend the bracket on the pipe a little to hold it tighter.
