eehsnab2
If I leave the gas on the overflow tube keeps dumping gas from the bowl. I am assuming that the floats are not adjusted correctly... How do I fix that??? 28 pwks
Schizo
Did you take the bottom of the bowl off? When I took mine off to change the pilot the float pin fell off and the entire float essembly fell apart, then when I put it back on I didnt realize that the valve had fell out too and it was dumping fuel also. thebloker
I have the same carbs and the same problem. However, I know that in my case it is because the fuel line from the tee to the carbs is too big. I had zip-tied the fuel lines to the carb itself and that worked for a little while. But sooner or later the fuel line loosens up and fuel leaks out of the overflow line. There is still some fuel that leaks out of the line to the carbs, but it's nowhere near the volume of fuel comming out of the overflow. If anybody has a decent solution to this problem, i would be open to suggestions, later, thebloker
die_infidel
I have the same problem on my stock set up carbs. I took apart the carbs and inspected, adjusted floats and still leak bad out of both carb overflow hoses since the day i bought the shee new from dealer. Is there something other than dirty carb causing this. I have to shut fuel off we not riding or i'll find one hell of a puddle under quad with in a few days. I'm thinking gas tank bigger than earlier shees and gas flow too strong?? I have no clue?? been one of my longest unsolved mysterys lol PLEASE SOMEONE SOLVE IT FOR US haha. nater006
Sticky needle valve? In all reality I'm new to Banshee carbs but the one on my old Tecate used to leak like mad! It was a worn out needle valve. Float level was set perfectly but the valve would never seat properly and it would just leak leak leak. eehsnab2
Did you get them from ebay (badchicken@aol.com)??? That is where I got them.
lincster
There is something sticking, take the carbs apart and blow them out with compressed air, not too high on the pressure. They are even overflowing when you ride. I'll be you all go through gas pretty quick, even when you are running it.
eehsnab2
yeah, and I run straight trick (race gas) so this is a big problem. When I stop all the gas just dumps out from where it has been dumping out while I ride...
Schizo
schizo what valve are you talking about? im going to take my other carb apart and see if im missing something. Sudco look at part #8 and #20 the float valve attaches to the spring then onto the float, make sure it is there and the float is not sticking.
