Travis's Banshee
Might want to check the float level too. I made that mistake when I put my single on. It was way low. This is probably a dumb statement, but make sure the intake tract is clear. Had a buddy stick a rag in the air box while he was cleaning it and forgot to take it out when he put the filter on. After I installed the single. It took the best part of the afternoon to get it dialed in the way I wanted, so don't give up. Its really worth it when your done. If you get to frustrated, I'll take it off your hands.
Meat
yea but she had the same problem with her dual 34s. Time to troubleshoot. start off with a compression check, maybe you have topend problems. You just had your carbs off, did you check your reeds ?? Did you install the intake gaskets ?? BR8es or B8es spark plugs gapped somewhere between .028 and .031 and buy some new plugs just so we can eliminate them as being your problem. we'll figure it out dont sweat it
frocashmoney24
yea its no biggie, everyone has a problem with there shee sometime, waht size carb did you get for the single setup anywa 33, 35?, but check if ur reeds are cracked or flaking, then check ur compression make sure there both about 10 psi within each other, make sure ur filters are clean, new plugs, new gas, and try it out
.
Just a thought, do you still have your parking brake hooked up?
BenBB
OK if you're changing carbs you know you'll have some trial and error there dialing it in, BUT if it did the same thing with the last carbs you need to find that problem before doing any jetting. Some good ideas here already, you either need to start tryin' stuff or try and narrow down the problem for us. I'd start with electrical like . said, sounds kinda unlikely but is the whole TORS system gone? Control box above the left cylinder and e-brake switch? Check reeds & intake gaskets? Check compression? Try new plugs? Check for air leaks on the new manifold? Air filter clean? (sorry, along with not turning the fuel "on" it happens to all of us) If all that checks out I'd start on the jetting, sounds like the main and/or needle may be way rich... blk02banshee
Just a thought, do you still have your parking brake hooked up? That's what it sounds like to me also. If it is hooked up, try playing with the P-brake and switch. might not be it, though, cause is'nt that part of the tors system? I'm sure she had to disconnect the tors to run 34s or single carb. ranshee
When i removed the tors plugs off of my carbs thw bike ran fine, but when i did the clutch perch mod and removed the switch from the e brake the bike made the same sound you are refering to. When i unpluged that switch the bike ran fine. So i think you might want to just check that out just to be shure

.
You get that parking brake disconnected yet? I know you can pull the rear part out of the caliper but I think you also need to disconnect the wire coming from clutch perch (I believe, I forget, its been so long.) You're gonna need a brake blockoff for the rear caliper, they're like 10 bucks or so, not expensive. Saying that you still have the parking brake installed, makes me think that 99.9% chance is that its the parking brake, its staying engaged and thats what it'll do, as soon as you try to give it gas, it'll just bog and such.
