sredish
You get that parking brake disconnected yet? I know you can pull the rear part out of the caliper but I think you also need to disconnect the wire coming from clutch perch (I believe, I forget, its been so long.) You're gonna need a brake blockoff for the rear caliper, they're like 10 bucks or so, not expensive. Saying that you still have the parking brake installed, makes me think that 99.9% chance is that its the parking brake, its staying engaged and thats what it'll do, as soon as you try to give it gas, it'll just bog and such. is that the case if the tors is already removed? i don't believe so. She was running twin 34mm PJs with the filter mounted right on the carb and the tors and connections have been long gone. I removed the pbrake from my machine so I could use a less obtrusive perch. I just removed the cable and the linkage from the rear caliper. While it would look better, I didn't use a block off plate.
87sheerips
out of the blue, but did u messs with yur parking brake. The safety on that dosnt let it rev past idle. check that and make sure everything is either completely off, or completely on.
iceman
I'm having the same problem, but I dont think its the reeds or jetting because its an 03 and it used to run perfect before I washed it. I took the parking brake off, which reminds me, do I really need the block off plate? I think I might just take it to the yamaha shop.
