bansheeboy420 Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 270 main, 25 pilot, 3rd clip position on needle, half turn on adjustment screw. i had 310 for main b4 and 2day i changed them to 270, after i had everything back together i started her up and the right cylinder was puffing more then the left one. wut could be the problem? 1989 shee, 40 oversize, white brothers boost bottle, boyesen reeds, paul turner mid range pipes/silencers , TORS removed, dg bumper and nerfs, front max on itp offset rims, dunlop rovers on aluminium itps Quote
Ducman Posted February 27, 2004 Report Posted February 27, 2004 If the air screws are within 1/2 screw of being all the way in you need to go up to the next size pilot. For the mains you need to give us more info: airbox lid on/off, air filter type, elevation, temp Quote
Banchetta Posted February 27, 2004 Report Posted February 27, 2004 I'd run 280 mains w/ the lid on and 300 mains w/ the lid off, stock pilots, needles in the 4th or 5th clip from the blunt end...try both and decide...the reason one smokes more than the other is because your carbs aren't in sync anymore....you should sync your carbs after you pull them apart.. Lepew Posted February 27, 2004 Report Posted February 27, 2004 I'm running paul turner mids with no lid and K+N at 0 elevation and 60 to 70 degrees, everything else stock. The main is 280, 25 pilot, and stock needle #4 position ( 4th position from blunt end). I might be able to drop a main but I keep it where its at to be on the safe side. Quote
Banchetta Posted February 27, 2004 Report Posted February 27, 2004 I'm running 300 mains, needle in the 5th clip, stock pilots, K&n no lid....0 elevation and temp range of 40-80 degrees....I'd do a plug chop, you might be a little lean on the mains..make sure you run it wide open in 6th gear before you pull the plugs...
