MotulMonsta
You won't be able to do it yourself. There is a shitload of copperwire wound around each one of those ears on the stator..then it all covered in a plastic coating. Unless you got the parts on hand and the knowhow I would advise agaist it. I was going to rewind my own but I couldn't find the materials nor any info on how to do it right. So I called east coast atv and had a used one shipped next day air... I got lucky to..it came with an adj. timing plate for under 100 bucks. ruff_rida69
I looked at east coast atv and they want $200 for a used or rewound stator and I'm not gonna pay that for a used one when I can get a new one from RS for $125 and it comes on an adjustable timing plate too so I guess I'll just have to call tomorrow and see what RS can do. and hopfully they can work somethin' out. ruff_rida69
well I just found the wire for it, they have it at radio shack heres it is http://www.radioshack.com/product.asp?cata...t%5Fid=278-1345 and it's only 5 bucks for all 3 spools, and I heard I can just put hi temp epoxy on it to hold it on the post, I might try it, it might work and it miht not but I think its worth a shot. and does anyone know if those are the right size wire for it? Thanks, Jonathan
ruff_rida69
never mind don't do it because I have 3 bleeding fingers right now from just trying to get the wire off the stator "that epoxy is like a razor blade!" and I know I can't get the rest of it off so ohh well I'll just try to get another one
Leadfoot350
Ricky stator has high output ones for 160 I think. Dont know why you would want a stock one at that price

sredish
Yeah, I got the 200w stator and timing plate for $185 + tax and shipping. Don't remember total amount. All it looks like is 2 more deals with copper around them, looks easy, just wear gloves.

I guess another weekend on the EX won't kill me!
