FoxBansheeRacing Posted February 23, 2004 Report Posted February 23, 2004 I need some help jetting my new 32mm carbs. Check my sig for all my mods. I am running 500-1000 ft above sea level in 40 degree weather. Where should I start? I currently have a toomey 2 into 1 filter, but the boots are too small for the carb, can I get different boots or am I going to have to get clamp ons? Quote

I'd start w/ 170-175 mains, 50 pilots, and go from there....This is just a base and should get you somewhat close...the rest is up to you!!! Quote

FoxBansheeRacing Posted February 24, 2004 Author Report Posted February 24, 2004 Ok, I bought these carbs from a guy off ebay and they didnt come with any gas lines, so I'm not sure what goes where. Could you give me an idea of how it goes together, like which line connects the 2 carbs together? Here is a pic. Quote
Blue Duece Posted February 24, 2004 Report Posted February 24, 2004 very cool fox, have you tried the elka doubles? i have a friend with the longer arms and triples and was curious how you were setup, thanks for posting the pics, back to your thread heres a pic of how i did my pj 34's hope it helps ya man..... FoxBansheeRacing Posted February 24, 2004 Author Report Posted February 24, 2004 Thanks for the help duece, but those pics are hard to make out. While I was looking the carbs over I found a threaded hole that goes into the top of the carb. What could this be? I took a pic and put arrows on it cuz its kinda dark and hard to make out, the red arrow is the mystery hole, and the 2 green ones are the gas fittings, which I'm still not sure how to set up. Quote
Blue Duece Posted February 24, 2004 Report Posted February 24, 2004 off my single petcock is a tube going to a single fuel filter, from the filter a short tube to a bronse "T" from the tee comes a tube to each carb, dual chokes, no crossover tube like the stock 26's...really a simple setup......your pic didnt post fox, or at least its just a little red x on my end....my 34's only have the fuel intake and the choke pull up top......if you look at the middle pic you can see a 5' tube come of the tank go across the head and come back into the in side of the fuel filter then a short peice coming out of the filter to the tee which you can see, then 1 each down to the carbs....... Indubitably Posted February 24, 2004 Report Posted February 24, 2004 The green one on the left is where the gas goes in the other green one is an overflow and i can't make out wht the red one is. It might have something to do with the choke if the carb doesn't have a choke handle then that is it, I think. Quote

FoxBansheeRacing Posted February 24, 2004 Author Report Posted February 24, 2004 That cant be the hole for the choke because I know where that one is. It is right below the smaller hole, but on the surface you cant see in the pic. I do need to buy new chokes for them. I would just email the guy and ask him what it is but his email doesnt work. So far I have ruled out the choke and air/fuel mixture screw, so what else could it be? Blueduece- so your saying I am going to need to get some kind of a connection that will T of my fuel line?
