limitied03
Im doing a rebuild and im putting a new crank thats been trued and welded with hot rods and im cant decided wether to buy Wiseco piston kit or a Vito power piston kit? I had to sell my pipes to my buddy to do this rebuild....times are hard!! so im back to stock pipes....and the vito say they raise the compression and a possible gain up to 6 horsepower, would it be cool to put these in with my stock pipes? Tim C
I got Vito's Super Stock Pistons and I like them - they made the bike work a lot better. Give them a try you won't be disapointed.
boonman
I will only run Wiseco Pro-Lite pistons. Wiseco makes Vito's pistons for him. So, they are alright. I would never run a Pro-X piston. They are cast, just like a stock piston. I am not gonna get into an argument on this again, just stating my opinion. pimp559
I agree with boonman, Vito's pitons are made from wiseco. Vito's takes the pistons and modifys them for different set ups. Vetos's changes the widows adn the bottom of the skirts. By doing this it not only changes the port timing but it lightens the piston to help with hp and a lil quicker rev. So your question is not what piston to use(vito's or wiseco) but how are you trying to set the bike up(top-end, bottom, mid range). What ever pistons you get make sure you let the shop know what kind of riding you do most and what you want performance wise. I would just call Vito and tell him what you want. Meat
Iv been using the same set of vitos powerpistons since August 2001. They're still pumpin away and have never let me down. They are finally starting to wear tho and I plan to retire em. They'll get replaced with new Powerpistons. I'll stick with what works, and they work great for me.
