monty9
im building a banshee, and i cant get the motor to start. there is no spark at the plugs. this is what i know, the cdi, coil are fine and the other box by the cdi is fine that has the blue wire coming from it. i know these are fine because i had a friends quad here and took the parts off mine and put them on his and it started. i have no clue what to do or were to start, the headlights are lighting up, but that is the only thing going on. any help will be great

89'bansheefan
Sounds like your coil works, but I don't think power is getting to it on your bike. Check the two wires that connect to the coil with a hand held voltage meter.
neilgf
Sounds like a possible problem with the stator on the side that supplies power to the engine as the lights run off a seperate circuit. There is a thread in the repairs and mods forum on how to test it... Hope this helps

zilladude
Are the 2 wires for the key switch connected? When they are not connected it is like having the key off.
