FoxBansheeRacing
What is the correct name for the fitting that connects the header pipes and stingers? Where can I get one of these to fit FMF pipes?
2004LEBanshee
are you talking about the sleeve thing that connects the silencer to header? If so E-bay. Factory ones work so your local dealer. It looks like a rubber sleve I would try to buy a rubber tube to fit there and put the two hoseclamps on it. If this is what you are talking about. sredish
you mean an exhaust clamp, or collar in this case?
FoxBansheeRacing
Yes, those. The stock ones are too big for my gnarlies. I never thought about hose clamps though. I have ran into a problem with mix and matching pipes and silencers. I have to cut like an inch or so out of my stinger for the pipe to fit on there right. I will check ebay. THOR1
Hey FoxBansheeRacing let me know what you get Im having problems witha good seal with my gnarlies also. Thanks
FoxBansheeRacing
I'm just going to put hose clamps on there and see what that does. If I was to put a regular o-ring on the pipe, would it melt it?
sredish
I've found the FMF's don't like to seal as well as some others. This may be me, but every set of FMF's I've had a little trouble getting sealed. I've got the clamp on my right side, completely tightened, and a little peck of oil finds its way out from time to time.
