Tire Size And Paddle #

I have been running 20-10-10 8 paddle hauler on my shee, but with my motor upgrade I'm thinkin I need more tire.

I will be running:

4mil

"stock" bore(1 over)

"play/race" port

+4 timing

v-force

stocker carbs bored to 28mm

CPI inframes

dual K/N's

cool head

all on pump gas(for now)

stock gearing(for now)

and a +5 swingarm

I'm thinkin 22-11-10 9 paddle hauler extremes, but have been told this may be too much for a duner bike. Will I still be able to slide it around? Thats why I thought stickin to a 10" rim would help, but was told that with the more rigid paddle and overall tire height of a 22" extreme, an 8 paddle would be better.

What ya'll think?

Any suggestions appreciated, but no need to mention v-paddles. Those are for 4-pokes :D

I run the same tire as you, only until I get some $$.

A buddy of mine ran 20 x 10 x 8 9 paddles on a stock bike, and he could whoop my ass.

After he got pipes, he could still whoop my ass, even though I had pipes.

The one extra paddle made a world of difference.

I have almost equivalent mods. T-5's, 2:1, shaved head, advanced timing, 13/44 sprockets, mild port, and stock stroke, and some buddys have the same mods running the same gearing with 22" 10 paddle haulers. They don't slide all that well, but they hook up. If you want to slide go with either 9 paddle or 8 paddle haulers. You might need to mess with your sprockets a little to dial it in to what you want. a 22" tire with 13/44 is the same as 20" tires with 14/41, well not the same, but damn close.

I bought the 22x11x8 (9 paddle) Extreme's and highly recommend them. I am geared at 13/44 as well with a full port 350. When I measured the distance between the paddles...it is very close to the same distance as the 20x10x10 (8 paddle). So if you get a 22" tire, get at least the 9 paddle.

I am going to get some tires from this guy. I am going to get 22-11-8 on 9 paddle etreme buffed from bead to bead. It looks way better buffed bead to bead or double buffed or super light, TRUST ME WAY BETTER. He post on planetsand and seems to be a cool guy. I am going to order tomorrow. I am also going to try to afford some mohawks for the front. His prices are very very good. Cheapest I have seen anywhere. The prices I have seen on his site are for superlights just to let you know. http://www.jimssandtoys.com/
