Proquad101 Posted February 20, 2004 Report Posted February 20, 2004 I paid $800 for mine but I called them at 3pm one day and told them I wanted them to over-night them and they were there at 10am the next morning. For the price you cant beat them, try to price a set of 10x10 rear dual beadlocks and a set of 10x6 front beadlocks in any other type of rim!! Quote
Meat Posted February 20, 2004 Report Posted February 20, 2004 I seen the fronts selling for $175 apeice, brand new. They are great rims, I know a Pro racer who swears by em, raced em hard for 2 full GNCC seasons racing on the rocks and ruts of a XC course. Never had a single problem with his, no DNF's cause from the HiPers. Quote
DirtGrrl Posted February 25, 2004 Author Report Posted February 25, 2004 this is all GREAT to hear i was going to buy them last week but I bought a trinity single carb kit instead..ill have to wait a week or two to buy the rims now. Im glad to hear all the good words about them. Really helped make up my mind. thanks guys so much!! tonie Quote
tats4life Posted February 25, 2004 Report Posted February 25, 2004 Welcome Girly!! The 8x8 mx with the hubs r killer i broke one of the hubs at buds creek and i called hiper and the send me an new one with a ARS label for the broke and and said sorry for the inconvience!!! AWESOME PRODUCT AND CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote
Proquad101 Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 Damn Tats you must have hit one hell of a jump or one hell of a crash. I watched Johnny Hail come up short on a 90ft triple and destroy himself and everything on his bike but the hyper-tech rims. Quote
bpreuss Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 DO NOT GET THE INTEGRATED HUBS! they sound like a good thing but one of my good friends and a pro freestyle rider for H bomb films Jon Guetter had them on his 400ex and nothin but problems. the fronts were fine with the stock hubs but the integrated sucked. just a little fare warning Quote
tats4life Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 Damn Tats you must have hit one hell of a jump or one hell of a crash. I watched Johnny Hail come up short on a 90ft triple and destroy himself and everything on his bike but the hyper-tech rims. Hyper said it was a production flaw in the hub that i broke. It was on a 110ft down hill triple, over jumped by about 6 ft flat landed it, chest ate the clamps. that's the only time we could figure the hub broke, didn't see it till we loaded up the trailer, that nite. I recommend hypers to anyone that has the cash to buy them, DUNEDEMON rode'm in the big ol sandbox. Quote
DirtGrrl Posted February 26, 2004 Author Report Posted February 26, 2004 tats4life..im a sucker for good suctomer service..ive run across SO MUCH shitty service since ive been in colorado..im amazed...when i know i h ave to take my bike in,,or order a part i get anxiety knowing SOMETHING WILL GO WRONG LOL i need to write up some mad props for trinity also..they screwed something up this week with the carb kit i ordered but came thru in the end!! ill definately throw cash thier way again!! bpreuss..what was the issue with the integrated hub your friend had? those are the rims im looking at. thanks guys tonie Quote
DUNEDEMON Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 Yup, I recommend hypers to anyone that has the cash to buy them, DUNEDEMON rode'm in the big ol sandbox. and I've got another set on the way. Best wheel I've ever ran, plus they blow peoples minds at the sand box. Quote
bpreuss Posted February 27, 2004 Report Posted February 27, 2004 i cant remember for sure, i will hafta ask him. he said the rims were fine but he wished he woulda gotten the regular hub Quote
MotulMonsta Posted March 5, 2004 Report Posted March 5, 2004 I just bough a complete set of Hiper wheels for around 720 direct from Hiper. They should have been here by now. They are alot cheaper then douglas shamrocks and ITP's T-9. That's all that I needed to hear and I was sold. The fronts come in a 3-1 offset so if your running +3 A-arms it will put you over the 50 in witdh limit for ATV's racing under AMA rules for MX. Quote
Proquad101 Posted March 6, 2004 Report Posted March 6, 2004 Motul that sounds like one hell of a deal. I run the 3-1 offset fronts for my +3 a-arms. Quote
MotulMonsta Posted March 6, 2004 Report Posted March 6, 2004 They offer a 4 offset, but they are out of stock plus their 8x8's are out of stock so I got the 9 inch wheels. the 8x8's have an integral hub in them.Hiper has been swamped in the past two months for rim orders. That tells you somthing right there. Nobody wants to shell out the 250+ bucks itp and douglas are asking for their rims. Quote
