grinterb Posted February 17, 2004 Report Posted February 17, 2004 I recently purchased a 2000 Banshee which has about 10 hours after a complete rebuild. When trying to start and will the choke all the way out, I get no fuel in the carbs. If I place some cardboard over the intakes, I get fuel in the carbs and the motor starts with one kick. Once running, the engine is strong at all speeds. I think the choke is at least partially working. If I pull it out while the engine is running the idle speeds up a little. Choke tube is in place and there is no airbox cover. Could this be a bad choke? Any other ideas. Thanks Quote
Banchetta Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 You probably swapped the carb bowls...Only the left carb has a brass tube and little jet in the carb bowl. If you put the right carb bowl on the left carb, then your choke won't work..... Quote
