I think you better go back to school and learn a little more about guns before you run your mouth and or kill yourself. That was a little harsh but I would hate to see someone get hurt due to ignorance. 50 mm they run on navy ships. Its a 45 acp and Rugers suck in my opinion as far as autoloaders are concerned. Here is my newest purchase Just so you know that is a sig P226 all stainless .40s&w. Best gun I have shot to date, and that is why you pay for them. I have shot many 45 1911's and I pefer this sig, over every 1911 style gun I have ever shot, including Kimber. Everyone brings up Glocks, well glocks are a good carry gun due to weight, but with them being so light it takes lots of practice to hit with them or get a good grouping. 40 yards is WAY to far to be shooting hanguns. Start at 10 yards and work your way back to 25. Any farther back you are wasting your time. Work on grouping and consistency not how fast or how far you can shoot. Anyway, as far as security for the banshee its called xena locks. Its a disc brake lock with an alarm in it that re-sets itself after 10 seconds. I've been around plenty long enough not to need shooting lessons from some guy on the internet. I live on 200 acres and was f*cking around on my ranch. If I want to shoot at my pond from 40 yards, I guess I can. I don't know if I have more fun using the ruger .45 or the glock .40, or maybe my old outdated colt. Also a gun fan, but no cash for anything other than my .44mag DE, that I have hit head shots on a paper target at 60 yds. Takes some aiming, and the gun weighs about 7lbs loaded, so its not like I'm capping off rounds like Im in South Central. MILO Posted February 17, 2004 Report Share Posted February 17, 2004 i know everyone has their own preference, but i've never had anything but success with my ruger's. .44 mag super redhawk, .357 mag gp100, and p93dc 9mm. and as far as over 40 yards being out of range, i've capped a ground hog at 80 yards with my 9mm, and deer easily out to 60 yards with the others. it's like anything else. practice, practice, practice, and know your weapon. as far as the shee goes, it's locked in the garage, blocked by my car, and an excellently trained german shepherd outside the door. if they get past my dog, over the car, by the dog again, and out and away before my wife or i drop them, i guess my shee is worth more than i had ever imagined. hell, in that case, maybe i'd better buy a 45mm!! sorry, but i feel that if you don't know anymore about the guns you have than that, you shouldn't have it in the 1st place. your more of a threat to yourself and those closest to you than you are any help. no wonder handguns get a bad rap. irresponsible people, not irresponsible guns. XTShee Posted February 17, 2004 Report Share Posted February 17, 2004 A couple of the rifles we have at home at the moment below. Black synthetic one is a 30-06 and the other is a 303 Jungle carbine. Most of them out at the farm, I think we have around another 15 of them out there ranging from shotguns, .22's , old westeren style lever action 45/70's, 45 long colts and an SKS. Pistols are a bitch to get over here, you have to be a member of a pistol club for over a year before you can get one and even then, the only place you are alowed to shoot it is at the club. You also have to have them registered with the cop's. So its really a waste of time Some times if you know the right people you can get your hands on one or two though. My dad sold his sig & regretted it every day. They're great, I'm just a die-hard colt fan. I can shoot better with my Gov model .45 than I could with the sig just cause I'm comfy with it in hand. Just from personal expereince I can say that I will never own a grock in my life. I've seen one shatter & several snap and crack when put through pro-longed shooting sessions & what-not. My dad was an NRA instructor & a commander of an 8 county raidius Special Response Team, or SWAT team if you wanna call it that, K-9 handler, can't even list all of his accomplishments, but was an excellent marksman...I got to see that guy do some shit that I never dreamed possible with guns, he just had a nack with them. He always said if you want to scare people & have a micro-wavable safe gun, get a glock, it's a good gun for a 'Nancy' or weekend warrior. They're alright & good for anything within 20 yards or so--providing they don't shit on ya, but I wouldn't trust my life with one--when I 1st saw one I thought Cool,...but when he popped off a few quick rounds & the end of the barrel cracked around the rifling I was like WTF! & glad it wasn't mine! . Yet again, I guess you get what you pay for too. My dad once worked for a PD that made him carry a clock as his side-arm,...well he also carried his 45 in a shoulder strap also, and a little 20 cal last resort pocket pistol in his boot. Have you ever had any problems with your sig? My dad had some issues with it wanting to jam when he 1st got it, I don't remember what the deal was but he rebuilt it with some upgrades & never had any problems.
