so i have looked at every topic posted that i could find on here about the trinity cv manifold single carb setup. from what it sounds like this is a good set up as long as you dont plan to do major motorwork? i have the opportunity to buy the cv kit with like a 40 mil carb for under 200 bucks but dont know what to do, i would prob have to buy a smaller carb if i got that any way because my motor is fairly stock. i plan on a port job, cool head, and v-force reeds really soon and i would be putting it all on at the same time. my bike is only in the sand if that helps anyone help me.

I think the 40mm will be to big. I have a 35mm on mine and I'm not convinced yet that it was better than the 33mm. The 35mm has ran better numbers on the dyno, but the 33mm was more consistent on the dyno. The 35mm seems to be more moody. I think I just need to do a little more tuning.

I would get a 33mm or a 35mm. 33mm if you dont plan on getting any porting, and a 35mm If you do.

I think if I was to get into some huge porting, I'd probably go back to duals, but I'd run a mild port on the 35mm. The 40 might be big, but if you plan some porting, then that would be sweet. I'd like to have a 40mm, personally. I'm scheduled in for some porting, but I'm not gonna go huge, due to the single 35mm carb. I'd go bigger if I knew I had the 40mm coming. Hmmm, maybe this is something I need to check into.

go to the Trinity Website and find the cv kit. Match the pieces your buying with whats shown on the website. If something doesn't look right, then take a closer look. I'm not sure if the 38mm carb is widely offered with that kit, sounds to me like someone has added that to it, or ordered it special. Make sure the boots are sized to fit.
