which tires do you guys find best for all types of terrain ( peat gravel sand mud hard packed mud wooded areas) cuase i was looking and i thought maybe holeshots or razors but which ones they have so many choices

I just put a set of Holeshot XCR's on my bike. The only other tire have to compare them to is the stockers, but.........

I like 'em.

I ride mostly in soft sand. Some hard packed dirt/rock trails, but not much.

I bought them because they're 6 ply. Havn't had a blowout/puncture(sp?)

My Banshee used to get stuck in tiny little mud puddles until I bought ITPs Spider Trac tires. I hook up like crazy in the woods, mud, & snow. I can wheelie in the mud! They look a little out of place on a Banshee but the traction is worth it. I bought them for snow tires, but I liked them so much I bought another pair on ITPs T9 polished rims to match my front tires.

I run holeshots and am very happy with them. Excellent hook in gravel and loose dirt. pretty good hook on hardpack and they do alright in mud too

I have the razor 2's which i like alot better than the holeshots i had.

razr 2s are a really good all around tire. i also have a set of spyder tracs and they

really hook up in the soft stuff. the only drawback is that they r heavy

I run mud machines on mine. Great in the snow, mud, and you can really rip up the trails. Although come summer, will run my stocks till I can get something else. Takes 10 minutes to change between sets.

i run pure sports realters.work great for me and i try and ride a little of everything. they work real good for climbing and throw nice roost.

I like my mud sharks alot,great hook up in most terrains and a nice low flat profile for good powerslides. I have a friend with holeshot xcr's on a ds650 and they hook up like crazy,not as good when the snow and mud get gnarly and stuff but awesome on pretty much everything else. I've ran turftamers before too but they didnt have enough bite for anything other than hardpacked dirt really.

the best tire right now on the market are kenda klaw xcr those tire gripp like crazy ,and they are reversible too

A 22 in tire is a bit big for general purpose. Any good 20 inch tire will serve your needs well. Turf Tamers are great tires, but they are 2 ply and puncture easily compared to a basic 4 ply holeshot. 6 ply is good choice but it is heavy. Holeshots load up in thick mud. I ran a set of realtors. They are good tires, a bit heavy. They flex alot and not good on hard packed dirt. Good for loose gravel or Coal hills in Penn. They work good in mud too. They just don't make traction anywhere else. I prefer a flat profile tire as they corner better. Kenda Claw, Maxis Razors, Itp holeshots are alll great general purpose riding tires. Itp will pay you money if you win running their tires in a race.

pure sport bandit xc's. , and i love them. they slip in the grass in the yard IF it's wet, otherwise they hook up awsome. trails, mud, shale, hardpack roads, coal, i ride mostly woods trails, fields, hill climbs(woods mostly). no sand here in pa. they are a pretty tough tire, great for rough trails. and they wear excellent.
