Case Saver Questions

If you get a nylon Case Saver from Custom Innovations they tell you it is easy to install,

but if you use a stock stator side cover, you will need to remove the piece from the cover that sticks out into the sprocket housing.

I don't understand what they are saying. Are they saying that you have to cut your stock stator cover some how?

And has anyone out there have a picture of what they are talking about?

before I get a $30 dollar part I want to make sure I don't need a $300 3pc. stator cover

When you take your stator cover of you will see plastic ( fill )on the inside where the sproket sits roughly (I dont know what to call it) You have to cut that off cause it sits where the case saver goes. Just get the casesaver install it. Try to put the cover on. Then you will se what you have to cut off. No you dont have to buy the a 3piece cover.

A guy on here makes them I think his HQ name is CSAVER I know his ebay ID is C ROSSMAN he sells them on ebay for $19.95 (with hardware). It's a great product, and he is a good guy to buy from.Only thing you have to do with your stock cover is trim the plastic above the chain on the inside of the cover.

Hope this helps.
