tacoking
My shee keeps overheating. I am thinking its the waterpump but I haven't check it yet. I have a 1.6 rad cap and noss head. Its jetted correctly according to fmfs website and the altitude and temp I ride in. It keeps spiting out fluid from the over flow even on short rides with no elevation changes. After riding the radiator is hot up top but the botttom portion of the radiator is cool, as well as the bottom hose. Any help is appreciated. Schizo
I would check the jetting first of all because a lean jetting will certainly overheat. Just because fmf's site tells you what size jets to run dont mean that it's jetted properly, do a wide open throttle plug check and if it's not a jetting issue then tear into the water pump. bkabina
You may have an air lock, not letting the water circulate.

I think you may be correct on the waterpump if the radiator feels realy cool at the bottom. It will naturally be cooler at the bottom but shouldn't be cool to the touch when the top is really hot. Sounds like a really low flow comming out of the pump. Just a guess, it could be from cavatation if you have a bad air leak in front of the pump or a realy screwed up old plastic impeller with some busted fins?
