jcanapa
Its been a few months since I was on the HQ, been out of town. I have a problem. The motor wont start. Ive rebuilt this motor a few times so I know it inside and out but am stumpped. I pulled the carbs apart, thier fine. The fuel filter is fine. Im am at 900ft above sea level. I have 128lbs if compression. 21cc domes. I get fuel to the bowls. If I put gas in the cylinder directly it will start for a second but then die. Its something that effecting both cylinders. Does anyone have any clues as to the problem on this.

1_bansheenutt
If mine sits for a few months, I use my other quad to pull it and getting it going, usually works well. My shee is very cold natured. In warmer weather or when the engine has been ran for a few no problems.

I agree, try some new gas, then check to make sure your getting fuel to the carbs.....pull the hose off the carb and see if gas pours out freely..if not, then the filter or petcock on the tank is plugged. If there is plenty of fuel, then clean the carbs thoroughly w/ an air compressor, I'd even put the fuel hose on and see if the floats are working properly before putting the carb bowls back on......
