14/41 is stock gearing.........take a pair of tie downs from your grab bar to your axle and compress the rear end, then adjust the chain by loosening the two carrier bolts, loosen the 12mm lock nuts on the adjusters and evenly adjust the chain using the 10mm nuts so you have 1/2" to 5/8's of slack, tighten it all back up release the tie downs and you should be good to go, the reason you adjust it compressed is when your jumping or riding and the shock compresses you dont snap your chain.......

i agree with BD but i know that a lot of people dont adjust their chains that way. i venture to guess that most just adjust it to where they feel it will be ok. when i do mine i take the chain and pull up and down and generally have from about 1.5 to 2 inches of play. then pull down the rear end to see how it looks. may not be a scientific way to do it, but its more than likely the way that most people do it. by the way, im guessing on the amount of play, i was just sittin here with a mental image of when i do it and it sounded about right.

those are the same guys that puss out when they see a 40 footer......i had a bud just "adjust his chain" the we hit a long jump , his bike compressed chain snapped completly thrashed his case and ripped his calf open..when your bikes squatting on the gas you need a little bit of slack, when it bottoms youd better goddamm well have some or your chains toast.....
