Brian G Posted February 9, 2004 Report Posted February 9, 2004 If you intend on having motor work done like porting, then do not buy these pipes!!! they do not work well at all with a ported engine or bigger carbs. If you want a set of pipes go with CPI's Quote

bansheelover Posted February 10, 2004 Report Posted February 10, 2004 i love my tr6's, right after i switched from my stockers i went for a rip and i came back a little later and my buddie said they could see my smirking grin for miles I WAS PLEASED matt Quote
Banchetta Posted February 10, 2004 Report Posted February 10, 2004 I see most people on here are comparing stock pipes to toomeys......ANY pipe is a huge gain over stock....not much of a comparison.... Quote
Brian G Posted February 10, 2004 Report Posted February 10, 2004 Do any dyno test on a motor with any porting and you will see that the TR6's are JUNK!! the TR5's are a far superior pipe with motor work! I am not trashing Toomeys one bit, they are a good pipe for a bolt on motor but CPI inframes are far superior. Quote
NE-Shee Posted February 11, 2004 Report Posted February 11, 2004 I have a set of tr6's ill sell for 525.00....... For my kinda riding i am not needing a high end pipe... These only have about 10 hours on them.. can send pics upon request.. Quote
spoin39 Posted February 14, 2004 Report Posted February 14, 2004 Only on ported engines that have the port-timing changed. Porting doesn't hurt T6's at all!!!!!!!!!!It's all in some of your heads! If the port-timing is changed then they don't respond as well as the T5's or other pipes. You can add mods to a T6 and see just as much improvement as any other pipe. Quote
