spoin39
If we can get enough people interested in this I will try to help arrange it. I can get at least 5-10 friends for this and I'm sure you guys can to. We will see what the poll shows and that is where it will be, dates will have to wait so we can see what will be easier for most people to attend. If you have any questions about what type riding is at each place post here or PM me. For those that can't do the Dumont trip, this is a constelation trip! Let's have a big banshee ride/party! dlnoss
What kind of riding is at the two Indiana locations? Are there good RV sites? Good for dirt bikes, Banshees? Technical trails? Might be interested depending on when.
scotts96fast
I never been to haspin and the place sounds interesting....hmmmm badlands is cool, but trying someting new would be fun....Silvercliff I would been interested in,BUT I don't want to deal with their sound level unless things changed out there. We might have problems...????have to chat with the guys and find out their interest.any of the 3 would be awsome...... blk02banshee
I voted silver lake, although badlands is closer and easier for me. I just love the sand . As for the sound restriction, I went 3 times last summer, and got right in, even with old packing. There is 1 BIG downer about SL...getting IN TO THE PARK. They only let so many vehicles into the parking lot at a time. depending on when you get there, there's no telling when you'll actually get in. We waited 4 HOURS one time, and 3 another time. I change my vote! BADLANDS!! It would be much easier to meet up with everyone, there's no sound restrictions, and there's more variety of terrain. From sand to gravel, to pea gravel, to dirt, to mud, to hills, to woods. $15/day $20 for 2 days. need a flag, and can buy them there cheap. gumby
i say the badlands just cause i like the place a little better and im more familiar with it and they got a camp ground right outside the park ( with in spitting distance) and they got indoor plumbing rv hook up and they dot kill u on fees, and by all means they aint real picky
mrmatt
Even though I only live 6 miles from the Badlands, I voted for Haspin. They kick you out of the Badlands well before dark and they don't even allow alcohol at the campground. They don't really enforce any rules as Haspin, which, in my opinion, makes it a better place to party/ride. spoin39
Thanks for adding the links Matt, I was going to do that but forgot. To tell people about the terrain: Badlands has pea gravel dunes, wooded trails, hillclimbs, a few gravel/sand pits, about anything you might like. Haspin has mostly wooded trails all over the place, they intersect every 10' it seems like, good hillclimbs in woods, 1 long moto track and a small one, and a drag strip (hard sand/dirt). Silver Lake is of course dunes but not real big, it is hard to get in like someone said and can be jerks about spark arresters/db limits, just depends on there mood that day. I vote for Haspin myself just because they are laid back, no flags, camping anywhere, and no rules on alcohol or night riding. It would be a great place to party! Everybody park in the same area and have a fire to talk shit and bench race! I will post directions in the future but Attica is near 28/41 just east of Illinois, Haspin is off 52 SE of Indianapolis and Silver Lake is a little N of Grand Rapids Michigan off of 31. spoin39
I will vote for memorial day also, anybody else have suggestions? I have talked to some guys at the local motoshop and they are interested too. Most don't ride banshees (they can't handle the power) but all is welcome. Invite anyone that would be interested, the more the better!

gumby
where is haspin anyway and do to certain medical reasons id prefer to stay close to home like the badlands its only a 30 minute flight on lifeflight from there to peoria just a request
spoin39
Haspin is alot more wooded but close to the same size. Gumby: What are you worried about? I'm sure you will be fine but, haspin is about 2hrs S.E. of Attica if that helps.
