spoin39
I have always loved the 250R, I used to race alot in district 15/17 but I went into the airforce and didn't find too many tracks close to where I was stationed. I raced a few in Ohio but time and Uncle Sam didn't cooperate. Got rid of the race bike in 92 and went without until I got out in 95. I looked at a few 250R's and couldn't find one good enough so a friend let me ride his new banshee w/toomey's. THAT WAS IT! I was hooked and bought a new one the next day! So far I have owned a 95,97,98,2000,and now a 2002. I have never regretted switching so far but might buy a YFZ or 450R for my next quad. I will always have the king of speed! kotin6
to be completly honest my first ride on a shee was on a stolen shee. A friend of mine had stole it from a guy who used to be a friend of mine. And since none of us were paying for it we rode the living piss out of it. From that day on I knew I wanted one. Now i have one. And I ride it like I stole it. Love evry minit of it.
DIRTBIKEZ
Cant say im in love yet, but I know when the lusting started. This past December, Christmas day, I was outside using a couple of my R/C cars when my little brother's friend comes riding up the block on his '03 Banshee which he has had for about 6 months. I asked him a few questions and he offered to let me take it for a quick spin. I jumped on the machine and got the quick briefing. Started he up, put her in 1st, little bit of throttle, eased out the clutch and she stalled. He says "dont be a pussy, give it some more gas". Started her up again. Gave her some more gas and eased out the clutch a little quicker. At that instant I was overwhelmed by its power as it darted along the sidewalk. Like many other people have experienced, the need for speed took me over and was now in control. I wheelied off the sidewalk and into the street brought it down and was in 6th gear in a matter of seconds. Dead cold of December about 15*F w/o the wind, no gloves, no mask; my face, hands and eyeballs are in pain but I couldnt let off . Ever since then I've been on the search for a Banshee. Soon enough I'm sure I'll find her.

H300F
One day my friend said he got a new quad, a banshee, i knew what they were and that they were fast but didnt know anymore. (well it was ported with lrd's i learned later) well i meet him with my old utility and thought it was pretty cool. so after watching him ride i wanted to try it. he didnt go all out on it since he was also new to it. thinking it couldnt be that fast, i twisted full throttle out in 1st and was immediately shooting straight up, i rode it for a few more minutes doing fishtails and he wanted it back. the feeling was nothing less then crazy. i knew i had to get one, all that adrenaline was pumping through me for months until i finally got one. i got one, and i think this one will be kept with me forever, its hard to believe how much more speed you want/make out of a stock banshee. SICK!
rebelbanshee2
june of 2001 I was at the dealer and decided to go look at the used bikes. I saw this old banshee with a missing headlight and some other busted stuff and new it would be my best shot at getting a banshee. it had a 404 kit with stock pipes, it was a real piece of work. When i test drove it i came back with a grin from ear to ear, the thing was so fast compared to my warrior. the thing blew up not soon after I got it and i could not get it to run to save my life. So i ditched the big bore cylenders and got some new jugs and did a bunch of other stuff. 1 1/2 later in march of 2003 i was able to ride it again. Now the only original parts on it are basically the frame, cases, steering stem and calipers. Even though Ive only really riden my shee for a year now it seems like ive had it forever. Stuff
I got into cars, bought a Camaro which I've had for about 10 years....big money pit but worth it and now have a truck to boot(banshee hauler ) Last year I felt the need for another toy, I started lookin and researchin quads. Biggest concern was a 2-stroke sport quad. Went to ebay and looked around and took notice of the 'shee...seemed to be very popular. Searched the 'shee a little more which led me to this site and read the posts and became convinced! I rode a Blaster and 400-ex but wanted a 'shee. I even found my 'shee on this site in the classified adds!! Hopped in the truck, stopped by the bank and made a trip. Picked up a pretty much new 2002 with very little time on it...all stock. Got it home, kicked it over, let her warm a bit and off I went. First time I hit the powerband I swear my bones melted Changed my pants and hopped back on
Cotton eyed Joe
I knew of the Banshee since 87, but I was only 13 then, and couldn't afford it. Then one day some friends of mine showed me pictures of what they had been doing at the dunes. One picture of my buddy, pulling a nearly verticle wheelie sold me. Never rode one. Never heard one. Never even sat on one. I went to the dealer after about 2 months of thinking about it, and bought it. Never regretted a minute of it!!! You could say I have the disease Nyuk has, just don't have the cash to support an addictive habit yet.
