bansheeVR4 Posted January 31, 2004 Report Posted January 31, 2004 I just moved to FL from CT and I have a 409cc big bore kit with T5's and 34mm pwk's. I run K&N's with no airbox. The left cylinder keeps on fouling the plugs. I took apart the carbs and it has 172 main jets. I am at see level. What do you guys thing the problems is. Jetting or something else. Quote

Mains won't foul plugs, but pilots will....what size pilots are you running? have you tried adjusting the air screws? If so, where are they at from seated?? Quote
bansheeVR4 Posted February 2, 2004 Author Report Posted February 2, 2004 I don't know what size pilots and there is no numbers on them. The air screws are all the way out. Quote

If the air screws like to be all the way out, then your pilots are way too big...they must have a number...pull them out and order 1-2 sizes smaller...then readjust the air screws and go from there.... bansheeVR4 Posted February 3, 2004 Author Report Posted February 3, 2004 Ok I found it I am running 50 pilot jets. Quote
Banchetta Posted February 4, 2004 Report Posted February 4, 2004 Ok I found it I am running 50 pilot jets. I'd try a 45 and 48 and adjust the air screws to the highest idle and throttle response, then adjust the idle knob to idle back down.... Quote
