oil is coming out of my silencers and I am also getting a high rev when i first start it. Im pretty sure the fuel/air screw can take care of the revving problem but what about the oil coming out of the silencers? too rich?

what ratio are you running your 2 cycle oil at......ive noticed anyting under 40:1 shit will come out the pipe, and do a plug chop to make sure your mains not rich, cause it probally dont happen till you rev it out......

im using castor 927 at 32:1.... I just rejetted tonight from 300 mains to 290 and 30 pilots to 25's. Runs a lot better on the low end. It got dark so I didnt want to mess with it any more but Ill tinker with it some more tomorrow.

The mains only control wide open throttle, so if the low end got better, then your shee likes the leaner pilots.....I'd do a plug check at wot in 6th gear for the mains...only true way to tell..

I don't know how cold its been there recently, but Castor 927 will seperate when it gets around 40. Even around 50 or so, that oil thickens a little and will work its way down some and get your bike to smoke. I've learned to deal with it in the winter. Its been getting down into the 20's here, so I shake my machine to mix it a little. It always starts rich and smokes quite a bit.

You might try running a 40:1 during the winter. I'm not saying thats your problem, but just keep that in mind and make sure your machine is warm when you check it. If not, you could be jetting it with a rich mixture (oil sitting at the bottom of the tank) and when it warms, you'll be leaner than you jetted for. Make sense?

I run yamalube R at 32:1 and I don't have any oil in the pipe or silencer problem unless I am dicking around with the jetting and starting it when its cold a lot without going out and riding it. If I only start it once, let it warm up, then ride it for a while, the oil isn't a problem and the pipes stay pretty clean. Start it 2 or three times for a couple of minutes without riding and its poopin oil. No a ton, but definitly noticeable.
