Stuff
Most likely it is snow melting off your radiator, pipes, engine...what ever gets hot. If its anti-freeze it will smell kinda sweet and if you checked it out you may notice green watery stuff all over if there is a leak. Don't drink it! Pull your radiator cover and twist the cap off and see what's inside. Green watery stuff is good......air is bad. P.S. you know about this guy they call "ninjamaster"
bigboybanshee
I don't think you should worry about it...Considering that snow is colder than 32 degrees and the radiator is a 100+ degrees, a little steam is to be expected. I ride through a lot of water and when I do steam ALWAYS comes a pourin off the radiator, pipes, etc...I think you can even see some of the steam I'm talkin' about in my avatar. Never had any overheating problems the entire time I've owned the shee. On another note, you don't see any coolant leaking anywhere do you? Take it easy! sandman121383
hey man i went ridin a few days ago and had the same prob. at 1st i thought maybe i didn't warm it up slow enuff. the rad was just smokin like a bastard, and i mean really bad.we're talkin cheech and chong here! haha so what i did was pulled the plastics off and took my rad lid off to check my coolant level. to my surprise it was right to the brim. i figured i might of had a leak and it was low but i was wrong so i'm not so sure if i should be concerned anymore cas other members say not to worry. but then why did it smoke so much? bigboybanshee
but then why did it smoke so much? It's like pouring water over hot coals in the grill...When the water/snow hits the hot ass radiator it evaporates, which in turn gives you steam. Are you guys smelling coolant or just seeing the steam?
