Or what size jets to put in them. Stock they come with 140 Main, 48 Pilot And it says that there all redy jeted for pipes and K&N air filter. IM just not sure on them so aney info would be great !!!!! Like wassup said, if they are the same size, sounds pointless, but if you can get a decent increase then go for it. I'm sure you could make a few bucks if you didn't use them. Labarraca_Baca Posted January 30, 2004 Report Share Posted January 30, 2004 Keihin slls 28mm carbs it fits in you stock carb to engin manifold but they are too big for the stock air filter manifold i just cut my airbox in half and put a dirt bike filter on each they work great but i also had a bit of trouble getting them to fit without crimping the drain line they are a little tall and they eliminate the rev limiter that goes ontop of the stock carbs if you dont mind doing some tinkering go for it mine work great Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

And what about the jetting on the Keihin carbs. like right now in my stock carbs im runing 300 mains and stock pilots. but the Keihin carb say that there all reade jeted for pipes and air filter, but they have 140 mains and 45 pilots. and wat abot the clip on the Keihin carb. I understan that im asking alot of qustions but i would like to know all of this befor i go and buy them. So please help me out on this. Labarraca_Baca Posted January 31, 2004 Report Share Posted January 31, 2004 The new carbs will make a diffarence especially with throttle response, and its a bit of a simpler set up too the throttle cable goes directly into the carb. also dont worry about the jetting it was dead on on mine. if you look at the jetting set up in your stock carb compared to the setup in the new carbs they are alot different. if you want some more info on how to put filters straight onto your carbs e-mail me at humphrey778@hotmail.com, it only cost me 20 bucks to do this and it made a huge improvement. Just how much depends on your mods, but then if you don't have a lot of mods, you might be better off waiting on the carbs and get some pipes, or a high compression head for more benefit. 140 mains seems a little lean to me, but I'm not sure with those size carbs. sredish Posted February 1, 2004 Report Share Posted February 1, 2004 I'd hold out for some 30's. Depends on what riding you do. If you drag or dune, hold out for some 34's. If you trail and mx, then 30's would be good. I'm afraid that the 2mm difference won't be substantial enough to warrant the dough. Labarraca_Baca Posted February 1, 2004 Report Share Posted February 1, 2004 i have to agree with sredish with all of the stuff on your banshee you could prolly use some bigger carbs. i bought my carbs for 350 and if the ones you are talking about were never used you could easly get 250 or 300. the other most common size for a banshee is 34-35mm. i have yet to see a 30mm. who makes those?
