Hi guys:

I spin a lot but have no trouble going anyplace. I have heard sand tires really help but have not tried it myself. Six-to-eight inches of snow is getting to be a lot for any ATV - even the 4x4s unless you have Lightfoot tracks or similar. I grew up in Northwestern Pennsylvania and after some lake effect snowfalls we just had to put the quads away in favor of the sleds.

Consider buying a sled to really enjoy this type of weather. You'll get along a whole lot better with those who ride sleds. They tend to hate it when we dig holes or otherwise mess up their nicely groomed trails.

On that issue don't upset the snowmobilers. Howard Dean already wants them to break ranks with ATV riders in order to shut down riding areas.

Don't run from the police. It just gives ATV riders a bad name. Our sport is already politically incorrect and hunted by the tree huggers. Let's not fuel their cause.

Regards,

Bill

Those mudsharks run pretty well in the snow, thats what I got on mine right now and I was bringing the front end up in the snow winding out second gear. With it being as powdery as it is its not gonna build up and restrict you as much as thicker snow will. Go try it out, you might be alright. I know we were fine in the fields but it had drifted all away and was only 2-3 inches maybe.

Kind of like the snow report at Philly international airport was only 1.6 inches....cause it all blew away.
