UpEnSmk420
GOOD TOPIC. My first bike/quad was in 1986 when I was 3, it was a Honda 70. Little tiny red & blue quad. Bitch would float accross water..... I used to love that thing. Ill never forget the day my old man put new brakes on her, and I came hall'n ass (well full throtle) down the drive way (dirt) and tried to do a power slide. Well it just rolled and rolled. And I ended up face 1st. in a mud puddle. Learned my lesson real quick.
BenBB
My first was an '85 TRX125 also, got it brand new in '86, loved that thing and rode it to death but it never complained... Sold it to get a car and came back around a few years later, had an '88 TRX300, then an '86 TRX250R, a '99 TRX300 4x4, and now I just have my '96 Banshee, which I'll never part with. Cotton eyed Joe
Mine was an 1984 Yamaha MOTO-4. ZERO SUSPENSION. 100% ridgid frame that would beat the hell out of me. I was 10, and I didn't care about suspension. I just wanted to go ride.
sredish
My first anything was an ATC 110. Honda. Yeeehawww... I bought that baybe myself when I was in 3rd grade. Rode the piss out of it. Sold it for well more than I paid, (with the help of my pops), Well, my pops saw me doing some jumping and stunt riding on the 110 and took it away and sold it. Did I ever see that money? I was in the 4th grade when he sold it. It took till the 6'th grade to get my Honda 350x.
fah_Q
My first was in pre-school. a 1986 honda 50z special edition. It was all chrome. The gas tank, the front and rear fenders, the springs, the handle bars were all chrome. Even the frame had a chrome like finish. There was also a red, white, and blue that came on the gas tank stock. It was a pretty sweet little machine, i actually still have it and i ride it around and keep i in good clean working shape. I think there were only 1,000 of these in the U.S., i could be wrong though.

.
me and my buddy when we were 8 got this bulltaco 250 from one of his dads friends for free. He said if we could get it to run have at it. The carb was all messed up so we got another carb for it and it ran like a raped ape......especially for being 8. Thing was so big that when we wanted to stop somewhere we'd have to pull up to a wall, or a tree or something and lean it into it, because we were to small to put our feet down. And if that bitch fell over it would take both of us to stand it back up again. Then I got a suzuki185 (I forget displacement), only suspension was the balloon tires. That thing was sweet, you could float it down the river and keep it running. Went through about 20 200x's. Buyin'em for like 100 bucks, putting 200-300 into them and riding the hell out of them and then selling them for 600-1000. Some of them we're badass with high compression and such. Had an atc250R, sold that to my buddy, wish I could come across another good deal on one. Bought a blaster blown up for 200 bucks, threw 2 top ends in it and beat the ever living piss out of it trying to stay up with banshees, raptors, and 250R's. Sold that for 900, and bought the banshee.....which I will never sell. I have way to much money into it. When I get to old to ride it I'm just gonna keep buying bling for it until I cant anymore and at least I can blame my drooling problem on the shee. Wallrat
My parents are anti dirt toy people, always will be. My first riding experience was on my buddies '77 yamaha 80. You had to kick it through gears and I could bunny-hop the thing up curbs and over boulders. MY first ride was a 198? yamaha moto4 200cc 4stroke quad (predecessor to the craptor!). I traded a $20 pager for it-the title was hotter than the pipes. Bald tires, no brakes, and a rancho truck shock absorber on the rear to keep the fenders off the tires. Funny thing was, I actually raced this rich punk kid on a banshee and beat him on my heap. On twisty fire roads that quad was king! With the lowered stance of no suspension and the bald tires, I could keep the thing pinned in 4th (top gear) all the way around the loose dirt hairpin corners. We raced about a 2 mile stretch, I had him beat by about a minute at least. Hahaha!
Cotton eyed Joe
With that 1984 80cc MOTO-4, my dad also bought a 200cc Moto with REVERSE!! WOO HOO!!. That thing was ridged too. He just sold it 2 years ago for $500.00 (well, actually traded it for a POS manual lathe that we use for an anvil) You're post reminded me of that Wallrat. I don't think we put 3 sparkplugs in it the whole time we owned it, and I think we adjusted the timing chain once. Very dependable bike. Never a days worth of trouble.
