yamaha350
your going to have to take it off.
Meat
yea just take off the sidecase. Kind of a pain in the ass to take the sidecover off, but its easy to do, you just gotta unbolt some stuff like the kickstarter..... You prolly needed to change your oil anyways If your carefull taking the cover off you can usually re-use the gasket. Just wiggle it off slow and use a mallet to tap on it. J..J.
Can't think of any pretty ways to do this, if chiseling it anti clockwise with a centre punch doesn't unscrew it, then you'll have to take the clutch cover off and grab that sucker from the inside. Drain the water and oil out and tip the bike over on its side with support under the handle bar, then you should be able to get to all the screws easily. If they are still the old phillips head type screw, then that won't be too pretty either. If the head of the screwdriver slips, get someone to try turn the screwdriver while you're hitting the end of the screwdriver with a BFH. If that fails, then just chisel them anti-clockwise until they turn easily. Suggest you replace those with stainless allen head screws while you're at it. Replace with M6 x 30, 8 screws M6 x 40, 1 screw. Good luck

locogato11283
so all thats left is the threads?? is the top soild? if so this is what i would do. drill a hole in the top of it with a drill bit just under an eight inch. like a 3/32. drill it in very shallow. then take a #2 square head screw bit and tap it in. then put an extension on your drill and slide the #2 bit in the extension. then put in reverse and see if it will come out. ive done this to bolts before when easy outs werent on hand. See?? I told you if you tossed a match in your gas tank, the match would go out. By the ensuing explosion. Did it work? I'm thinking I need to make billet dip sticks.
