Compression Octane And Port Timing

I recently rebuilt my banshee. I went with vitos power pistons. When I put it all back together I ran a compression test. 210psi! So I invested in a thicker base gasket. It dropped the compression down to 160psi. I was wondering if it is safe to run 93 octane with 160psi compression. Also with the thicker base gasket the port timing must have changed slightly. Is this something I should be watching closely?
