frocashmoney24
well im about sick of it now, we have to pay insurance and we cant even ride the damn things anywhere. theres no trails up here where you cant get a ticket for riding, theres no roads you can ride on, no sweet dunes like out west, you pay insurance just to ride on your own land. Alot of people now hate us because of a select few who think there gods on quads, and its making it harder for the rest of us, i dont know how it is in some other states, but im getting damn sick of atvr's not gettin any respect out here and the snowmobilers are like gods
SICK BOY
I hear ya Fro.There's tons of snowmobile trails out here, but NO ATV trails. And If we ride on the snowmobile trails in the summer we'll get a ticket.IT'S BULLSHIT!
boonman
Tug Hill is the only place I know of in NYS that allows ATV's in the summer. However, it is not a State maintained trail system. There are NO state maintaines trails. Now, get this, half of your registration fee goes to a "trail fund". Well shitheads, Where in the f*ck is my trails? I pay every year for them. And the # of registered ATV's has fucking doubled in the last year. SO, tell me ass holes, where in the f*ck does my money go if there are no trails for the trail fund to maintain? And another thing, when I tried to ride my snomoshee here near Buffalo, I was told by the Sheriff's that I couldn't ride, because it wasn't a registered snowmobile. f*ck YOU. I have owned snowmobiles since I could afford to own one. I have paid my registrations, kept the fucking insurance on them, and wass not legally able to ride because the trail clubs couldn't get insurance? How many fucking people need to have insurance so they can ride? And why in the f*ck can't I ride my ATV on the snowmobile trails if it has skis, and does LESS damage than a sled on the trail? Tested and tried. Let the president of the snowmobile club ride it. He told me to go ahead. f*ck the shit. This fucking state is pathetic. And the fucking toll booths. f*ck YOU. Dammit. Now I am pissed for the day.....
superchicken
do we have a new record on the FU@k word? i hear ya thats how its been here in jersey for ever.at least you guys have legal snomobiles the only thing legal in this state is theft, that is the state is takeing our tax money from atv sales and not donging a mother fucking with it except making it hard to abide to there laws. rebelbanshee2
you have to have insurance even on your own land? hmm I guess its probably supposed to be registered too then, then id have to pay sales tax too i suppose..ooops, sorry mr pataki im breaking your retarded laws, now go screw yourself! Im am so glad i have a lot of good unregulated trails and a small mx track that i can shred as loud and as long as I want and not have the police and the neighbors pissing, becasue there are no police and the neighbors are riding with me! Only downside is i have to keep my quads there an hour away
banshee370
It was last year or the year before that the state of connecticut took in a total of 1.25 MILLION dollars in Sales/Property taxes on ATV's. According to the state of Ct.... The $ collected went towards opening state land of ORMV use. There is NO legal land to ride on... It has now become so bad that we can be ticketed for noise pollution on OUR own land AND for riding an unregistered atv (If its not registered) EVEN though its YOUR own land! An MX racer that lives in the southern part of the state opend up his OWN private property to others as an "off road park" It was a very secluded area with a long (private) dirt road entrance. Before it was opened the state shut him down for several reasons (noise and what ever else they could find) He then let "friends" ride there w/ his permission and w/o having to pay any "fees". His "friends" were ticketed for riding on private property even though they had permission to ride there... My question is... Who gave the DMV/DNR/EPA officers permission to enter private property? Isnt that tresspassing itself?? How can someone be ticketed for riding WITH PERMISSION on private land?? The state then closed access to his private road... Something that is illegal for the state to do... I could go on about this but it will just end up pissing me off to no end... Just another reason why I want to leave this pisshole of a state. BLAH!!!!!!!!!!

PyRo_ZaCh
you guys that cant find trails, i dont know if theres any around there but try looking for hunting/sportsman clubs. I know we got insane amouts of silt pits and coal banks to play on here with out many problems. But my dad belongs to a few hunting (or some call themselves sportsman) clubs and the ones that own land dont have a problem with me taking my quad there to ride, i used to ride the dirtbike there alot before i found ppl to show me around the silts. The only thing is most wont be happy about racing, you'll be lucky if you can do 50mph for most of the day, then again the trails in most of them you wont have room to get above

Ducman
Man and I thought CA was bad! My uncle has a couple of work quads that he only uses for doing stuff around his property so he decided to quit paying the registration fee because he didn't figure he'd take them anywhere anyway. The CA DMV took the registration fees + penalties out of his state tax return unexpectedly. WTF! If its even still just registered in your name they got you by the balls! I blame the tree huggers! F-U you bark kissing bastards!
BansheeBrian
It has everything you need for a damn good ride. I went to the place in Wallingford by the dump and was not impressed. The pit i ride at is about 9 times the size of that.I'm looking to drag a few Hqers there in the summer. It has an area for drags, jumps, banshee only hillclimbs and giant sand, process and gravel mounds. It keeps me happy. Some of the local riders have some pretty sick shees. dogboystoy
Well, I now live in NY, but soon to move back to IL (my home state). Anyway, In IL there are no ATV registrations in exhistance, nor are there any trails, nor are there any insurance laws. But Fortunately I know people that have land, and I can ride it, also the people I know's land is connected so I can ride on about 250 acres of property (NICE) but after you have riddedn all of it 100 times or so, you do get boared of it. So you need to take the banshee to ATV parks (such as the Attica, IN badlands. I think the NY laws are gay, I am "supposed" to register it to ride on private property,, whatever, i did register it because I was planning on riding across the roads etc (which is why I think that NY has the Ins law), because you are allowed to cross a road with a registered and insured ATV. But with all of that money we should get some kind of benefit with that money they get. Whatever, this whole thing makes me sick... From now on I am not registering my atv anywhere. Let's go...well when I get a chance to get away from homework and class RIT soaks up so much time. I live off campus in Rochester and keep the 'shee in my buddy's garge where I can tinker with it. I'd love to go ridin around here but don't know anybody and the weather is a bit chilly right now. I only insure mine, this state rapes us enough for me to register.
