2004LEBanshee
Ok, I took of the fly wheel, and the head. To do this I also took of the gas tank and some plastic. When I was done my friend noticed a small gold colored metal tube on the ground. He also swears it wasn't there when we started. I think its like an inch long? Where did it come from? This is though? FORMULASPEED
Got a pic? is it your petcock tube? why did you take all that stuff off?
fixitrod
It's a spacer for the front tank bolts. You know, the bolts that actually hold the tank on. It's on there so you can tighten the bolt all the way and not break the hole the screw goes through.
Just for fun
Yup, agreed, front tank bolts. I did the same thing when I first got my shee. Your learning laddy. Not to sound like an old timer, but I am, nothing makes up for experience. Keep on wrenching and ask all the questions you have, I did. 2004LEBanshee
I took it of because the hose on the back of the head was hard to get to for me. I also had to kill time while my friend was putting my new tires on so the extra work didn't matter to me. I havent tightened any thing on yet because I will when I get the head back so that could be why I didn't notice it not tightning properly. I will look at the bolt hole thank guys. Oh I took the fly wheel of to send it to boon and needed to get to the timeing plate.
