Justintoxicated
people tend to run straight water wetter with water in their computer cooling systems, But some have found it does gunk up, and has caused a few pumps to fail, laving people with toasted hardware and a leaky mess to clean up...However I would still probably use it in my computer simply because the affects of not having it could be even worse. As this is not common, but it does mean that water wetter can gunk up. Its good stuff, I just prefer the engine ice also...Althoguh I have spent $60 on the stuff in the last month! OUCH.. Oilsmoke
What is the cost of engine ice vers water wetter for a banshee full? I drain and change offen. Just like tranny oil. So if. gunking up is a problem frequent changes should solve that.

Just some of it. Prices may varey a bit, and it depends what coolant your mixing it with.
Leadfoot350
I know some of you have temp gauges on your bikes. Maybe someone could test the two out for all of us. That way we know for sure and not by some magazine that could be paid off.

That way we know for sure and not by some magazine that could be paid off. I have no clue where spoin got his info on the test but its entirely incorrect. Tha test in ATV sport was done on a real bike. They flushed the cooling system completely between each test and verified the temps with an IR temp gauge. This measures the outside of the cylinder temp, not the water temp. They also backed it up with an ESR inline water temp gauge. They published not only the temps after the ride, but also recovery at idle. The WW and purple ice did the best, the engine ice did cool, however not as much and not as well in recovery. Upside is engine ice is completely non toxic and bio-degradable. The others were not. They also did a test on the inline coolers and on a bigger oil tank (4 stroke). Both worked as well. I have the article but cannot republish for obvious legal reasons. I'll check the month when I get home though.
