Lt 80

Recommended Posts

I know its not a banshee but I got a problem with my little cousin's stock suzuki Lt 80. It turns on fine and revs perfectly, but the bike does not want to move the rear tires seemed to not move even if I tried to push it. So I took apart the chain from the sprocket and then the tires rotated freely so its seems like the sprocket by the tranny got stuck. What could this possibly be? I've taken many banshees and other 2 strokes apart but none automatic. Thanx any help would be greatly appreciated.

I dunno, never been inside an LT80, but if it was me I would invest in a Clymer manual or otherwise and see what's in there. It's an automatic clutch, but I don't know for sure if it's got a single-speed transmission or CVT...but from your description I'd look into the clutch mechanism first.

I actually had to open it up and it seemed like it was a gear in the transmission. And it also seemed like there was little or no oil in it. One of the small gears was bluish and the one next to it was a little blue. Means they're bad right?? I guess my uncle has to spend some money now. Anyone know where I can get it for cheap besides the dealer I already checked ebay?
