d_preuss Posted January 17, 2004 Report Posted January 17, 2004 I just recently had my engine rebuilt.... .30 overboar and ported and polished. I was just wondering if I had to adjust my main jets or pilot jets? I will be riding in below freezing temps and currently have my jetting set at 420 mains with 29 pilots....does this sound right to you? Also, a friend of mine just bought some 28 PWK carbs for his shee, and was wondering if he had to adjust his jets for his new carbs? Please Help. Thanks. Quote
spoin39 Posted January 17, 2004 Report Posted January 17, 2004 I would go up a size on the main and check it out, get that right then worry about the needle and pilot, they may be OK but might need to be a little richer. As far as the buddy goes they probably came prejetted. Try them out and see how it runs, may need to be adjusted for his mods a little to be perfect. Most all jetting is learning to read what the bike wants and how to adjust for it, for more info go to the jetting faq. Quote
