erbilabuc
the 500 motor would take care of all your prblems, except the ones about you ripping other people off.
NAXbansheeman11
so it would be better to do the 500 then it would to do the
boonman
How many times are you going to start racing XC?? Seriously, get the thing MX ported, with a +4mm stroker crank and ride the friggin thing. You try thinking too much. You must be the guy that gets all prepped at the race, get there with all the best shit, have someone twist wrenches for you, act like a pro, and come in dead last. Aren't ya? How many times have we told you what you need to do? And yet, you still pop in here from time to time, asking the same ridiculous questions. And I hope to high heaven that you didn't rip anyone off on here. That would be detrimental.

He is a 15 year old kid probably just excited about maybe getting to race and wants to BS about it. I thought that is why people get on these forums. locogato11283
i gaurantee you do not want a cr500 engine in there. if the thing dies it will bea fuckin bitch gettin it started. trust me, kicking over a cr500 in a banshee frame is no easy task. i had to build a kicker from scratch that is shorter than the stock one. ive gotta get on top of it and put all my weight into it. i would think having a 4 stroke would be a much better way to go. that way you have push button start and can get it goin easier. thats just my opinion tho. H300F
xc racing takes a big toll on the rider. i wouldn't focus so much on power, although it will help, but more on things to protect the quad like nerfs, bead locks, skidplates, and stuff to keep you riding longer like shocks, anti vibe stem, etc. dont forget to mix in lots of endurance on your part. Well, You have to understand, that BS'ing about it is one thing, and asking the same thing, over and over and over and over again is another. Everyone here has told him about XC racing. And yet, he keeps coming here posting questions about Hey guys i`m starting xc racing and was wondering what would work 1 getting xc port work done 2 putting a cr 500 motor in 3 putting a yz 426 in if possible with out frame cutting I mean, really, if you are gonna go through all the trouble of swapping a 426 motor in, why would you put it in a banshee chassis??? Especially for XC racing. There are several options that would be much better suited. We have told him that numerous times. What does it take?? You gotta draw the line somewhere....... erbilabuc
Just to back Boonman up, this is about the 30th post( no exageration) that he has asked about what it takes for his banshee to XC race. What pisses me off is that he came up here at first (about 4 months ago)like a "badass expert rider know it all" and then starts asking common sense questions. TheNewGuy
well dudes, being as im the one who has swapped a 426 engine into a banshee frame FOR MX...the sole reasons are: reliability/powerband of a 4 stroke (stroker 2 stroke engine) better gas mileage dependability no mixing gas plenty of mods ya'll will pretty much bash on me for saying that banshees arent gods and there are much better engines out there for certain jobs...a banshee is pretty much a dune bike IMO...so why use the engine for something you need go lug...the 426 swap really just included the engine (electrical and all), all the things necessary to cool, custom built exhaust, and some motor mounts...the kid said he knew people to fabricate so i see no problem with it... as soon as you have the motor propped in the frame, you can start fabricating mounts and seeing where things need to go p.s. - and yes it did vibrate like a mother f*cker...but performed really well Mike

We are just stating how this one kid keeps asking the same thing over and over and over and over. I dont think the Banshee is a god; the only reason I dont own anything else is becuase I will never get back all the money Ive put into it.
