cam2 Posted January 15, 2004 Report Posted January 15, 2004 i have the opportunity to try a trinity 2:1 35mm keihin setup and i was hoping that i could get some help on some base jetting. my bike is stock except for FMF SST's, +4 degree key, coolhead with 20cc domes (approx. 180psi). i will be using a clamp on K&N and i'm at sea level. i picked up 170, 175, 180 jets thinking that i should be close but if the consensus says differently then i may have to pick up some different jets before i try and run it. i would like to be close when i install it because riding places aren't close. thanks. chuck. Banchetta Posted January 15, 2004 Report Posted January 15, 2004 I'd start w/ the 180 main first...Better to start rich, then work down...The 2 into 1 is easy to change anyway... Quote
DUNEDEMON Posted January 15, 2004 Report Posted January 15, 2004 cam2, I have a 2 into 1 manifold (not a trinity) with a 35mm pwk airstryker, although my engine is significantly different from yours (my spec's are in the tricks & tips section under the 2 into 1 topic) and I'm at about 1700 feet above sea level I run a 190 main with the needle set in the third clip position down from the top, plus my slide has a 6mm chamfer machined at the bottom of the face. Check your needle position, try the 180 to start, only make 1/2 turn adjustments to the air screw, and do plug color checks. Dunedemon. Quote
dirtbike killer Posted January 16, 2004 Report Posted January 16, 2004 I agree with banchetta. Start with 180 mains and a 50 pilot. I have a stock port and run 175 and 48. Quote
Leadfoot350 Posted January 16, 2004 Report Posted January 16, 2004 look at trinitys web site under tech and there is a graph Quote
