ledofthezep
I thought stock was 14:41? I'm running the same gearing you are. Depending on your mods, you could probably go to a ?stock14? or a 15 tooth front & be able to pull it a bit faster up the long hill. Just MHO... Actually there were 2 or 3 years that came with a 13 tooth front and 22" tires. I think it was 87-89.

Yamahammer
it should be stamped on the gear if you look close around the inside of the gear just under the chain my 03 has a 14 but i am going to a 13 this next trip
Justintoxicated
I believe stock is 14 tooth, so take a look. My favorite ratio with FMF pipes and a K&N was 13:41 I could easily pull 4th and almost 5th up the steep side. 14:41 was a little better on the less steep side, since you don't need to drop a tooth to get into 4th on that side of the hill... I like the steep side better for racing though, especialy against 4 strokes
