Is this normal??? My bike has been this way from day one... almost two years now.... Just wondering if it is a bad sign or now... so far so good, but I would just like some of your expert opinions on the matter... THANKS..... by the way, the one that smokes more is the left pipe.... (driver side.. heheheh)

If it's been doing it for two years you can pretty much rule out a head gasket leak on that side (also the smoke would be thick & white). Is the compression the same on both sides?

I'd start with the pilots, take them out and clean the orifice. The passage is real small and it doesn't take more than a grain of sand to clog them. Also make sure both carbs have the same main jets and needle clip positions (you never know). Next, check the carb sync. Fresh plugs wouldn't hurt but again since you said it's worked for 2 years I doubt it would matter, but it wouldn't hurt trying. Good luck.

On my stock Banshee with T-5's my right pipe smokes more. Alot more, but after warm up it evens out. I have synched and cleaned my carbs, new plugs, everything, comes back to the saying, "it is what it is". If everything is squared away on your machine and it runs strong, plugs look good, I wouldn't be overly worried about it.

If my exhaust was smoking unevenly, then I'd be worried. It takes 5 minutes to sync the carbs right and will gain more performance as well as the motor working together.....one side shouldn't pull the other side. puts a lot of strain on one side of the motor...
