shortys racing
hi all and can some explain to me what is the difrances between the longrod crank and a stroker crank im power and where to feel the difrance in and which one will produce more HP. and torque over the other . long rods and stroker cranks are 2 way different things. Stroker cranks give your low end & mid range torque (lots of it), while a long rod will just give you a lil' bit more torque and more reliability with your piston wear...... shortys racing
and what a bout the longrod stroker crank that wiseco sells . well that would just be a normal 4mm with longer rods.....would make a great play motor.....all around power. cOoLDeviL
ok so if i want to install this longrod stroker crank what is the best compaination to use with it .... is it the stock banshee pistons with spacer plate under the cylenders or to use the new wiseco pistons 795 series
909
Better to use the pistons than the spacer plate. I use the hyperlites my self. Don't bother with contemplating a LR crank if you're not already ported and carbed though. it'd really be a waste of money without "needing" it. You will need it if you're running silly high compression, big bore, super high RPM, alcohol, etc..... if you're seriously looking at a stroker motor, you need to do the whole thing to see any benefit out of it.
