I have been watching alot of ATV GNCC events lately and heard that there are no requirements to race in the amatuer events. Just wondering if anybody here has ever raced a GNCC event, if so, give me all of your expirience info.

Also checked out the website and could not find any 2 stroke classes, are 4 strokes only allowed?

If anybody has any info, please educate me!!!

Thanks

There are several classes to pick from. I race 2 stroke B but there are C and A classes also. I only race about 4 GNCC's a year so I stick with a class I can be compettitve in. I've gotten a 3rd, 7th, 8th, 11th and a 17th this past year. There are open classes, vet, first year racer witch is what you would want to start out in. The first year class is open to all, 2and4 stroke. After the first year go to 2 stroke C, then B then A if you feel you are up to it. It is a dead engine start wich usually favors electric start but I got the holeshot at a 2 races this year so anyone can do it. Pace yourself after the first few miles. The first few miles are all out to try to pass as many riders as you can before the woods gets too tight. It's hard to pass in the woods so choose your lines well. Pace, staying relaxed, and being smart about the lines you choose are the most critical. Also having a buddy to do a pitstop for you (gas, goggles, gloves, and tire if flat) helps out. Go for it! It's a blast!
