I used to have reed spacers but it was to much of a pain to get the carbs on so I took them off. For me I had to remove the silencers to get enough free play to get the air box back on which was the only way that I had found to do it without killing your fingers. I guess cutting the front of the air box would work also., but I never tried it.

I just shove the air box on the boots until the carb boots mash up enough to hook the air box in. Not too big of a deal. It got much harder when I put the V-Force on that Banshee, thats when I took the spacers out. Didnt notice ANY difference with or without them FYI.

On mine I have cut the bottom and the trimmed the top of my airbox. After that I cut the little tabs on the side of the airbox off so now there is no restriction on how far back the airbox is moved, oh yeah I took the antifreeze bottle off, so now I put the clamps on the carbs and zip tie the airbox to the bolt holes where the antifreeze bottle was bolted in. I have not had any problems with it. I also have pretty easy access to my airfilter.
