runts
Hey everyone I am new to banshee but know alittle common since about anything and what is wrong is the banshee has 34mm keihin carbs on it and the bowl hits the little clutch plate I dont know what its called but its right under neath the carb bowls and what it does is when you let the clutch out it hangs on the bowls. The bowls are setting to LOW. Please help
locogato11283
im not really sure how you would go about fixing that. maybe by havin smaller carbs on it because stock banshee carbs dont hit. would have a hydraulic clutch help? i say this just because i had one and i liked it alot better than the stock set up. i dont know if it would solve the problem or not. im guessin the only way to fix it is with smaller carbs. itsaripper
Get on ebay and buy some reed spacers. Like about half inch ones. Put them on and they will raise the carbs up to miss the clutch release arm. They will also give you some better throttle response.
Meat
Iv heard you can remove the drain bolt on the bowl and then seal it up with some epoxy or JB weld kinda stuff.
bluestreak01
TAke your bowl off on that side and grind the nut head down i did the same thing to mind works perfect but dont grind it to much just enough to clear the clutch arm. Aussie Quad Racer
reed spacers or custom manifolds will get you out of trouble

Minkia38
reed spacers will solve the problem - BUT with spacers, you lose a few HP, but gain a little torque - from the words of Dynoedge racing. I've seen alot of the ground down bowl bolts - and that works too - my 34mm carbs are just normal, and i just let the clutch arm hit it - it moves it maybe a mm or so - but i live with it
909
im with minkia, i have 35s and am too lazy to pull 'em to gring the head down so I just refrain from using the clutch
SYRacingInc.
Adding spacers will increase the crankcase compression ratio which will give a more mellow power hit.
