Tapered Bearing Carriers

Recommended Posts

IS there a loss of chain adjustment with a tapered bearing carrier? I ask becasue on my bros 250r he cant adjust the chain enough to put a larger front sprocket even adding links, its either too loose or too tight. It seems like the chain is barely adjusting. I also saw some ad for a tapered one that said "no loss in adjustment" so who knows?

I have a taperd carrier in a RPM honda style adjustment swingarm and have no problems. The only difference is the type of bearings used in the carrier. There are single/twin row or double/ and tapered, I don't think the type of bearing has anything to do with adjustment.
