vmaxup
I have a problem with the rod that goes thru the clutch it keeps welding itself to the stell ball and adjuster. Anyone ever here of this? Help. Also I have plenty of oil in there.
azsandrat
Its a common problem if the oil level is what the factory recomends. Using 2 qt keeps the rod and ball submerged in oil and solves the problem. If you just fill it to the dip stick level it'll do it when you have the clutch in and wing the throttle when drag racing the hills. Hope this helps. vmaxup
ok so more oil is better. but why is it this machine a 96 and my 98 is fine. The part that sucks is you have to split the cases to get the the rod out. So Wht just this machine. And if its a common problem why are you the only one responding

Nightrider
I agree with azsandrat.I run a little extra also.I make sure the dipstick reads about 1/4 inch above the full line. The only downfall is it might rob a little h.p from the extra oil in the trans case. vmaxup
I will put extra oil in. But the real question is I have never herd of this before. Has it happened to many others. I just trying to rule out a mechanical problem Im not seeing. If this is the nature of the beast that great. And what is this kit from Tdr What dose it do? Cant fin it. What is Tdr? I've done this and i get oil on the front of the quad through the overflow. Only when I ride whoops really bad though.
sandman121383
hey vmax don't feel bad it happened 2 me twice. i say run a little extra oil but also make sure your puttin the clutch back together properly. if u line the pressure plate up wrong or something else then your clutch won't work right to begin with. i also wish there was an easier way to get the damn little bastard rod and ball out but when they're stuck the only other option are easyouts (if u can find some small and ling enought to fit or tap it/ but that steel rod is hard as hell so i doubt tapping is possible. even though u must split the case u can atleast check for shreddings and make sure everything is clean and OK when putting it back 2gether

mike250kx
I'm new to Banshees, just bought my first a couple of weeks ago. Its kind of a used bastard child. Anyway, I use Redline lightwieght shockproof gearoil in all my two-stroke bikes. Its great protection. It was recommended to me by Tom Morgan Racing. They built the engine for my KX. Good Luck !
