I was wondering what kinda jets I should run, and what main jet, and will I have to rejet when I go to Little Saraha this summer? And how will I know if im running bad?

With no lid I would suggest starting at a 320 main, needle on the 4th groove from blunt end, and maybe go up one size on the pilot (stock is 25 so a 27.5). This should get you close. Usually you start big on the main and go down until it doesn't miss at full throttle, Raise the needle (lower the clip) until you can roll on the gas from 1/2 throttle and it doesn't skip or bog, go up on the pilot until you can accelerate smoothly from idle, 1-4 turns out on the airscrew is normal but if you need to turn out more go up on the pilot. I can't tell you what the jetting will be at sahara but this should help you figure that out yourself. Don't be afraid to experiment with it to get it right, that's the only way to do it, we can only give you an idea.... you have to perfect it!

so how hard is it to change all this stuff, how do you get to the main jet.Ive never had to mess with jets or anything cause I bought carbs that they asked me what Ive had done, and they jetted it for me for my cr 250.

Very easy. Take the carbs off one at a time so you don't get them messed up. The main jet is on the bottom (float bowl), the pilot jet is under the splash guard (wich is under the main jet), and the needle is in the slide wich is in the carb tops. You can go to the jetting faq on this site or we can walk you thru it. Just take your time and pay attention to how it goes together.

I live here in the bootheel and when I just had fmf fatty's, pro-flow uni filter and no lid I would run a 270 when it was really hot outside (90-100 degrees) and would jump up to a 280 when it cooled back down. I also stuck with the stock pilot jets. I tried bigger ones but it made it way too rich on bottom. Stock position on the needle was also the best for me!

I doubt there will be much difference from the SST's to the fatty's. I would start with a 300 and work my way down. I would probably say you will end up around a 290 right now in this weather and probably a 280 when it starts to warm back up. But I would start with a 300 and stock pilots first and do a plug check.
