dirtbike killer
Has anyone done this? Did you notice any difference? I swopped my pos and neg. I haven't rode it yet, way to cold up here in the hills. Everything I read about this says you get a hotter spark. The shee seems to start fine like this. I just want to get some input on this from some people that have done it. Will I have to rejet? Or is a waste of time.
boonman
I did it, I don't think it did a damn thing. It won't hurt the bike, and you shouldn't have to change anything because of it...
ledofthezep
I did it, I don't think it did a damn thing. Same here. No noticeable difference.
BenBB
QUOTE I did it, I don't think it did a damn thing. Same here. No noticeable difference. Make that 3 of us. I still think the orange SHOULD be on the "+" terminal, but I didn't notice any difference, the coil could probably care less. I did wind up going a size larger on the mains, but that was way back when, soon after I was dialing in for the K&N and learning about jetting, coulda had nothing to do with the wires at all. fixitrod
Being it is a coil, polarity should do nothing. I think Banchetta tried it on the dyno and noticed nothing.

rebelbanshee2
no, the real power is in switching the spark plug wires!! hehehe
Aussie Quad Racer
it makes no differance if you change the plug leads or the wires to the coil. If i hear someone say yes it does i will clip em around the ears
boonman
Screw clipping the ears, box them shits man!!!! Anyways, from the factory, the orange wire is the + side.
